Houbara Bustards

There are many kind of birds but in the Atlas Mountains  of Morocco they have a lot of Houbara Bustards. Also Houbara Bustards live in North Africa but these numbers of the birds have degreed .The reason of that is over hunting and destruction of the dry grasslands where the birds live. Abu Dhabi government is the center to produce more than 60,000 of the birds, starting 2006. When we see in Moracco there are many plans for future that they need to increase the number of the birds from 12,000 to 15,000 of birds per season. Birds like humans when use destined for breeding. The best time for Houbara Bustard to breed is spring and at the two centers is a busy time for staff. On spring or autumn the birds live in stretches of land. Because of this land is used for hunting so they should to protect breeding birds. 65% of the birds remained after one year. Technology like radio and satellite transmitters that the scientists using for birds to see what happen to the birds after they are released. If we measured the density in the wild and observing the number of nets then programme is working.

Preserving Emirate Traditions

Many of the traditional Emirate sports are being ignored by inhabitants and awareness must be supported to preserve such sports like falconry, Arabian Saluki hunting, dhow racing and others in Bedouin culture. Emirates national identity must be shown to all people coming to the country. Airports are good places to start to reflect the Emirati heritage and culture. Educational methods, schools and universities are part of the problem as most instructors are expatriate and do not care about Emirates traditions. The traditional sports came in the old days, all animals are still exist and the new generation must get benefits of them in order to keep the past alive for the future. Because of technology and internet, young people are not aware of their tradition, and in order to keep them aware we need to teach them from birth. Traditional practices can be merged in the recreational sports like beauty contests and racing competitions.
